WildSpy app for iPhone
‘WildSpy MWT’ is an interactive ‘app’ for iPod or iPhone launched by Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust. It covers three nature reserves – Coed y Dinas, Cors Dyfi and Severn Farm Ponds - so people can play in different places and spot up to 60 amazing species. Up to 4 people can compete to be the first to spot plants and animals and win the game. It includes some fantastic images and sound effects to help players so it’s great for families, you can also read about the fascinating wildlife and follow links to the internet to learn even more.
The Trust is the first to launch an app of this type. It’s one of a suite of WildSpy apps that we’ve developed with Imagemakers, a company that specialises in helping people enjoy our unique heritage.
The app is available to download for a small fee from Apple iTunes.
Wildlife Trusts Wales
The six Wildlife Trusts in Wales work together for an environment rich in wildlife for everyone. Between us, we have 25,000 members and manage 230 nature reserves in Wales – covering more than 6,000 hectares of prime wildlife habitat, from rugged coastline to urban wildlife havens.
We are part of The Wildlife Trusts partnership, with over 750,000 members across the UK. We manage land, campaign for wildlife, provide advice, and undertake a diverse and exciting range of education work, inspiring people about the natural world.
The Wildlife Trusts across Wales work together, taking action for local wildlife.
